Dr. Stan Schneider, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Stan Schneider

Stan Schneider founded RTI to develop productivity tools for the real-time marketplace. Under his guidance, RTI has grown from inception to a multinational business with offices throughout North America and Europe.

Immediately before RTI, Stan was an independent technical and management consultant, working with companies in medical products, digital signal processing, aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, video and television, and networking. Before that, Stan managed one of the largest laboratories at Stanford, focusing on intelligent mechanical systems. At Sperry Computer Systems (now Unisys), Stan developed networked communications systems and led the software team responsible for Sperry's personal computer product line. Stan began his career in automotive impact testing.

Stan completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Stanford University. He holds a BS in Applied Mathematics (Summa Cum Laude) and an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a graduate of Stanford's Advanced Management College. Stan received numerous awards and prizes for academic excellence. He is widely published in both industry and academic media.

Dr. Gerardo Pardo-Castellote, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Gerardo Pardo-Castellote

Gerardo has been with RTI since 1995. He specializes in real-time software architectures and networking.

His professional experience includes time-critical software for data acquisition and processing, real-time planning and scheduling software, control system software, and software-system design. He authored the original version of RTI Data Distribution Service.

He currently chairs the Data Distribution Service Finalization Task Force at the Object Management Group (OMG).

Gerardo holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, an MS in Computer Science, and an MSEE from Stanford University. He also holds a BS in Physics from the University of Granada (Spain).

Curt Schacker, Executive Vice President of Sales and Services and Chief Commercial Officer

Curt Schacker

Curt Schacker has more than 20 years of proven software engineering, worldwide sales, marketing and business development experience. Most recently, he managed all aspects of business operations for Toroki Communications. In 2001, Schacker co-founded Embedded Solution Partners, which was named Silicon Valley's 20th fastest growing company in 2006. Prior to running his own company, Curt served as a field applications engineer at real-time operating system pioneers Ready Systems and Wind River Systems. At Wind River, he rose to the position of VP of Worldwide Marketing and Corporate Development. Schacker began his career at Lockheed Martin developing flight software for the NASA Hubble Space Telescope before moving into the embedded industry.

Curt graduated with honors from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a BS in Computer Science.

David Barnett, Vice President of Products and Markets

David Barnett

David has over 25 years of experience in the real-time software industry and an extensive background in product management and marketing. Most recently, he managed product marketing at Green Hills Software, a leading supplier of real-time operating systems. Prior to Green Hills, David was vice president of marketing for real-time middleware provider Highlander Engineering, where he played a key role in the company's Series A funding, growth into a market leadership position, and eventual acquisition by Borland Software Corporation. Barnett has also held senior product management and marketing positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation's Embedded Software Division and Wind River Systems. He began his career as software engineer and manager at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he was responsible for the implementation of several distributed real-time applications.

David has BA in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Catherine Mekler, Vice President of Operations

Catherine Mekler

Catherine joined RTI in 1998. Catherine's responsibilities include managing several operational areas, including the Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Operations Services, and Corporate Business departments.

Before joining RTI, she worked for small companies in the Silicon Valley area.

Catherine holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Barbara Radabaugh, Vice President of Marketing

Barbara RadabaughBarbara brings over 20 years' experience in marketing both in corporate and agency roles. Before joining RTI, Barbara held positions at both large and small technology companies including Quantum, Stratus Computer, Sprint and Ford Aerospace. Most recently, she ran her own marketing and consulting agency for over 10 years where her agency provided branding and messaging services. Barbara's expertise in communications includes public relations, online media, advertising, trade shows/events and internal communications. She will be responsible for outbound marketing strategy and execution with a focus on building RTI's brand and awareness worldwide.

Barbara received a BA in English from the University of California at Davis.
