"Data on the Move" Webinar Series Delivers Comprehensive Introduction to Industry-Leading Infrastructure Solutions

RTI demonstrates how messaging software manages data to better integrate complex systems

SUNNYVALE, Calif.—August 2, 2011—Real-Time Innovations (RTI), The Global Leader in DDS, today announced the introduction of its "Data on the Move" webinar series. The series covers a number of topics and focuses on how RTI's messaging software allows distributed computers to instantly share data — and the intelligence that comes with that data — so businesses can integrate all systems into one large, well orchestrated system of systems.

The webinar series — designed for program managers, systems architects and software developers in industries where system failure is not an option — covers seven different use cases and launches August 11, 2011, with "Reusable Design Patterns for High-Performance Distributed Systems." Other webinars follow semimonthly through November.

"Data is on different systems, in different locations and in a range of applications. RTI's messaging software helps customers integrate that data for the creation of smarter systems and more efficient business," says Curt Schacker, executive vice president of sales and services and chief commercial officer for RTI. "We're excited to offer this free educational service to help people learn how RTI can help them tackle and solve their complex integration problems."

What: The Data on the Move webinars are part of a free educational series providing a comprehensive look at RTI's messaging software, including business and technical benefits, case studies, demos and a look under the hood for those who want a more in-depth technical view.

Who: Free to all interested parties, the events are valuable for technical decision-makers, program managers, software architects and developers. The webinar series is sponsored by RTI with participation by strategic partners.

Why: The proven value of efficient and effective systems integration merits a deeper look by those seeking to reduce software lifecycle and deployment costs or to improve the performance and scalability of distributed systems.

When: The Data on the Move webinar series will take place on these dates and times:

  • August 11, 11 a.m. EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Reusable Design Patterns for High-Performance Distributed Systems
  • August 24, 11 a.m. EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Efficient Data Distribution: Leverage the Power of DDS and LabVIEW
  • September 15, 11 a.m. EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Driving Agility and Slashing Costs With a Standards-Based UAS Integration Platform
  • September 21, 11 a.m. EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Security Architecture for High-Performance Distributed Systems
  • October 5, 11 a.m. EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Enabling Large-Scale Distributed Systems: SCADA as an Example
  • October 19, 11 a.m.  EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Portable, Interoperable Publish-Subscribe Messaging: Introducing DDS
  • November 9, 11 a.m.  EDT (4 p.m. GMT) – Planning for Change at the System Level: Interoperable Open Architecture

Additional topics and dates may also be announced.
