RTI's innovative, completely decentralized architecture delivers ultra low latency, high throughput and virtually unlimited scalability. Applications directly exchange data in a true peer-to-peer manner. There are no servers, message brokers or daemon processes acting as a bottleneck, choke point or single point of failure.
RTI Data Distribution Service provides a peer-to-peer message bus without brokers, servers or daemon processes.
RTI's peer-to-peer architecture accommodates integrating disparate systems, including those that span multiple networks and incorporate other native integration technologies.
RTI supports two approaches for integrating applications that use different transport protocols (such as UDPv4 and UDPv6) or run over different networks:
Applications can simultaneously participate as peers on multiple networks
RTI Routing Service transparently bridges between different networks. Applications on the same network communicate peer-to-peer.
RTI Data Distribution Service retains peer-to-peer semantics even when integrating applications that do not natively use RTI middleware for communication.
RTI Data Distribution Service can directly communicate with applications that use other RTPS compliant DDS implementations. Adapters to other integration standards and applications are also decentralized and can run anywhere on the network.
